Business Services

"We really appreciated the support that Falmouth University gave us, as it has made it possible for Liminal to present our work to a wider audience and increase our profile both nationally and internationally."
David Prior, Liminal

We are not only a world-class academic and Performance Centre – we are also a successful and expanding business resource.

As you might expect, we work closely with existing arts and performance-based enterprises  – from internationally-celebrated companies to emerging graduate start-ups – providing space, advice, and professional services. Helping them to grow.

We also offer consultancy advice, research and enterprise innovation partnerships as well as product testing and trialling facilities to performance-related businesses and manufacturers.

Furthermore, the transferable skills of our practitioners, both staff and studentshave much broader application. Instead of performers, directors, musicians, choreographers – consider them as specialist manipulators of space, people, sound, movement. With wide experience in inter-disciplinary work and collaborations across radically different realms.

Their value to businesses beyond the confines of performance quickly becomes clearer.

Our theatre practitioners are among the finest in their  fields at working with groups; devising the dynamics of team-work. Our expertise in the use of language socially and culturally has been sought internationally for executive programmes and as a prospective new approach to reducing stress-related illness in the workplace. Our Professor of Choreography is recognised as one of Europe’s leading thinkers on the relationship between people and space; as important architecturally as on the dance stage. An Associate Professor has won contemporary music’s equivalent of the Turner Prize for Art in collaboration with health specialists and companies in Spain, developing a technique to remodel sound which could potentially ‘switch off’ traffic noise.

We have a unique combination of skilled professionals capable of integrating contemporary radical arts practice with the requirements of a wide range of industries. The possibilities are myriad, limited only by imagination.
